Salavaria (Sala-Var-ee-a)

We were the first baby! First in flight! Don't feel too bad guys we are birds after all.

Geography

A largely forested area with scatterings of grasslands here and there. This planet is also notably more mountainous than other planets in the galaxy. It also has a large interconnected ocean that snakes through the mountains and fields. When totaled together the amount of water on the planet is equal to half the entire planet.

Fauna & Flora

People: Salavaria is home to many different races. In the mountains lie the Aaracockra scholars and Kenku scouts of Lumenarres. Down on the surface is where many other humanoid races live. (Human, elf, myconid, firborlg, etc.) Some of them live in small tribal settlements and others take refuge in Marzansin, the home of the former group known as The Hunters Guild, the capital of the planet floor. Additionally this planet is home to another society known as the Felis who live in the forest.   Animals: Salavaria has several standard game species of varying levels of viciousness. The most being Dragons though they went extinct long before the Age of Exploration.   Plants: As for plants the only one of note here would be Mystic Gold which forms at the base of cedar trees in the forest as a thin fungus.

Natural Resources

This planet exports a large amount of wood, water, and meat. They have a small mining operation but it is not their main staple in terms of exportation.

History

Salavaria was in a way discovered in the year 0 AE when Lumenarran scouts descended upon Voxia. Long before that Salavaria divided into two parts, mountain people and planet floor people. Though they are divided they have an agreement that neither shall rule over the other but instead they work in cooperation. The capital of the mountains is The Lumenarres Library led by Head Steward Lewin. This city/library is the main hub for all of Salavarias galactic accomplishments. It is here that Kenku scouts were deployed to the rest of the galaxy and eventually to the Voxian-Salavaria Federation Space station and where the Aaracockra scholars research and record the histories of the galaxy. Lumenarres is also the greatest center for all knowledge and learning of any topic found in the galaxy. When the Hunters Guild died out in 65 GA the Lumenarrian's were defenseless and probably would've died out as well if not for their alliance with Voxia who sent paladins to help defend the mountain passes.   The planet floor capital is Marzansin and is led by the Huntmaster Grunn. The title of Huntmaster is one that is passed from member to member of the Hunters Guild every five years. Back in 65 GA Marzansin was devastated by a guild member named Bowin. According to scattered documents found by Kenkus from Lumenarres he was supposed to take leadership of the city. The exact events are unknown to the galaxy. Marzansin sat in ruin for a long time with the floor people scattered and living in tribes. Then around 1135 EW the Firbolg Extinction occurred. Similar to the Disappearance at Marzansin event not much is known about the circumstances of the event. Finally in 1215 AW the ruins of Marzansin were rediscovered and the town rebuilt along with the Hunters Guild. Huntmaster Grunn had spearheaded the movement to rebuild the city and guild and has been the Huntmaster ever since the beginning.   After the Demon Wars it was revealed that Huntmaster Grunn had actually been a double agent doppelgänger working for Urolog. The real Huntmaster had been replaced near the beginning of his rule. The imposter escaped the justice of the Galactic Council but the damage was done. It was decided that the Hunters Guild were too vulnerable to corruption and their voice on the council was too dangerous. As such the Galactic Council forcibly disbanded them. Their duty to the library still remains but the title of Hunters Guild has been forever sullied. A few individuals from the former guild have moved to Rashuldvia where they have created the Sanguine Venatores.
