Church of Turgon

Introduction

The Church of Turgon is the institution to designed to further the worship and pay respects to the god of Order, Turgon. It is a highly organized, and well structured church that follows strict rules within their fortified temples. They mostly attract those who follow the lawfulness aspect of Turon's domain, such as judges, city watchmen an d merchants.

Clergy

Turgon's clergy strive to bring order to the land in which they inhabit, be it the implementation of established laws or the creation of new ones. The Turgonite priesthood are mostly made up of judges or magistrates, dispensing justice within large cities, while others travel to chaotic lands, crusaders in the name of law and order. Turgon's elite priests are called Judicar with vestments which are typically stone grey with gold filigree.   The clergy of Turgon are known for never refusing service or aid to the faithful if they are in distress. To keep Turgon's favour, one must respect fallen opponents and keep one’s alignment lawful. They largely subscribe to the "eye for an eye" philosophy which gives them a reputation for being harsh arbiters of the law, but they frequently err on the side of mercy: particularly when crimes have been committed through ignorance or by mistake.

Prophecy

It is rumoured that many of the clergy have had dreams... In these dreams Turgon bows his head in respect to The Raven Queen and Pelor, and they bow their heads in respect to him as well. He then walks forward, and shakes The Raven’s hand, and then Pelors hand. Suddenly an ornate desk appears between them, with a large tablet on it. The three speak words that are incomprehensible, then they simultaneously bow and write something on the tablet... Turgon carving with a hammer and chisel, Pelor writing with a slender Sparks of magical light from his fingertip, and the Raven Queen with a quill fashioned from the feather of a raven, its tip red with what would presumably be blood.

Temple

Turgon’s temples are sculpted straight from stone, Turgonites create underground cathedrals with large stone pillars. They are arranged so that the stone is shaped in a way to be made to look like it had formed naturally from the rock. The Divine Record (Turgon's holy book) states that in primitive societies, Turgon was credited with teaching the working of metal in useful and martial shapes, another sign that the Lord Integrity is an elemental, as well as civil entity. For this, the temples usually hold many forges.
