History of Izuria

The Era of Creation

From the beginning through 2000 BD

The ancient period of the awakening of the Gods, the creation of life, and their battle against the Primordials.

  • Unknown
    The Primordials

It is unknown how or why the world of Izuria exists within the material plane, but it has for all of history. It's first inhabitants were the Primordials, who were physical manifestations of the elements. They walked the world, sculpted and clashed, and created the physical world from mountains to oceans. After ravaging the surface of the planet, they burrowed deep within the world.

  • Before
    The Dawning
    Celestial / Cosmic

In a flash that disrupted the ancient harmony, the gods were created. The gods coalesced out of physical material that was flung from this discord. Each of them hummed a slightly different tune from this dawning, and that tune was the basis of that gods identity. They were shapeless in the beginning, drifting their way to Izuria. Together, they began shaping the world according to how they best saw fit.

  • Before
    Creation of Life

The gods, having shaped certain aspects of the world, wanted life to flourish within. First, they created the Dragons, who went out and inhabited many remote corners. Then came the Elves, created by the god Corellon, the Dwarves, created by the god Moradin, and finally the Humans, created by the god Lathander. After all of these, the other races followed until all races sprung into existence.

  • Before
    Primordial Awakening

In the wake of the gods creation of mortal creatures, the Primordials found themselves angered and began unleashing elemental hell upon the surface. To protect their civilization, the gods gave the mortal races arcane magic in order to help them in the battle against these beings of the deep.

  • Before
    The Rift

A schism formed between the gods. As a result of this Primordial assault, some gods wished to start fresh with new life who would be better suited to survival; this group being referred to as the Betrayer Gods. The group who disagreed with this, collectively was disgusted at the thought of destroying all they had built; becoming known as the Greater Gods. The Betrayer Gods aligned themselves with the Primordials and creatures from the abyss, as well as creating new aberrations to aid in their war. The Greater Gods sought and created beings of order. Mortals found themselves allying themselves primarily with the Greater Gods.
