The Premise for The Book Club Campaign

“Before The Diminishing Realms, the land of Ostholos was wrought with an eternal storm that flooded the lands and blanketed the skies with dark, thunderous clouds. The people of Ostholos despaired while the storms ravaged their once prosperous farmland and wiped cities away with tempestuous force.
Ostholos, thought lost, barely believed it as the Red Dragon Ripo the Dread flew over the land. She barrelled through the sky with such force, her wing was struck with lightning and she tumbled toward the mountains. With a deafening roar, she beat her wings and focused her flame breath toward the highest peak of the mountains, at the centre of the storm. The storm quivered and faulted as the last of the rain fell as a dull thud to the soaked ground as Ripo sought reprieve by the mountains. With the storm lifted, the clouds gave way to reveal a fertile land of trees, animals and new adventures above the mountains where Ripo fled, seeking refuge as she nursed her wounded wing.
100 years passed before anyone dared to venture atop the mountains, scared of running into the great beast. A few human adventurers, keen to win their king’s favour, decided to bear the risks and were rewarded upon the discovery of The Diminishing Realms.
You all find yourselves in Year 301, atop the Frostlace Mountains in The Diminishing Realms. The land is at risk of succumbing to violent tremors that tear cities in half, and the young settlements are experiencing battles for control.“
