The Chronicles of the Itharia, The Murder Mansion: Session Twenty-seven
General Summary
The party left the seamstress workshop and headed to the last room on the second floor. They entered into the room they believed to be Danny and her wifes. They discovered a Memory Journal, and expensive magical item used to write automatically from the mind.
Rhy opened the journal to read it, the words strangely appearing a moment after the journal was opened. As she read a voice filled the room. The voice and Rhy's reading told the story of a woman disturbed by her siblings and very angry. Eventually the party realized this journal and the voice were most likely a person, or more specifically the soul of a person.
The party discovered Lestria was bound to her journal. The party learned alot about the nature of the family and some history of the house. Lestria requested that, if her mother was still around, alive or a ghost , that the party could bind her to this plane to avoid her mother reaching the realm of her god, Vecna.
After reuniting Lestria, Danny, and Parina, the party was warmed by their love, and felt their protection envelop them. The party left a universal solvent with Lestria to free Parina when the time was right.
The party headed to a third floor where they discovered a huge streak of blood heading south, a door with strange face level arcane circle, and to the north a portrait of an old dwarf. Lee searched for a secret passage discovering one to the west. Rhy used her ghostly gaze to discover a hall with what she assumed was the demon they were told about, a room with triangular walls and a skull resting in the corner, a room with chests full of stones, and the room with the circle contained two oozes in jars, one with a skull floating in it.
They pushed through the secret passage and the "demon" threatened Rhy if she didn't free them. The party discussed with the creature at length and Lee realized the "demon" was likely related to valkyries, female warrior celestials, eventually coming to believe she was a fallen valkyrie. Once the party finally freed her she told them she was off to see two spirits.
The parted headed north to a room Rhy had not seen. Upon entering the room they were attack by hell hounds. After defeating them and taking a rest Lee discovered a strange puzzle contraption in the wall.
