Tün Character in Itherün | World Anvil

Tün

Tün is a mysterious god in the dwarven pantheon. The tale "The Creation of the Dwarves" tells the dwarves that Tün is Antün before her imprisonment. That story says that she was transformed which would imply that Tün should no longer exist. However, her presence is still felt by dwarven priests, implying that Antün and Tün are seperate entities. Tün is one of The Tempered Gods and represents death. Dwarves understand that sometimes it is necessary to bring death to others and in these times they invoke Tün while restraining her with Khournon. There are cults of Tün who seek to kill in her name, spilling blood of acolytes and innocents alike to feed her blood. Some believe that if they feed her enough she will be released from her prison and consume all life, thus avoiding the pain of burning that comes from existence.
