In the beginning there was only the whirling Ether, energies without matter, spirit without body. It was nothing and everything at the same time. Even the oldest beings do not know how long it existed or what was before. But at some point, after a very long time, the vortexes of energy began to form patterns, to condense and form a self-awareness. This is how the Ancients came into existence. Beings of pure energy, six spirits without no real body and yet real. Beings of such immeasurable power that no mortal can even imagine it. They began to shape the energies, to reshape them and give them forms. While three of them formed the energies and became true masters of them, the other three went a new way and created the first matter, solid, malleable. They put them together, formed them, combined them and always created something new. In this way worlds were created in many different forms. But they were all empty. Apart from the ancient ones, there was no other life. No one who populated the worlds, no animals, no plants. The Ancients did not yet know all this and it took a long time until they had the idea.
