The Elven Forest

• Abandoned hundreds of years ago
• The ruins of several elven cities are hidden deep within the forest, but no explorer has successfully mapped them
• Most persons are afraid to enter the Elven Forest. Of those who are brave enough to enter, the survival rate is less than 50% for each excursion, leading to short lifespans
• Some of those who survive are driven mad or become vegetative
• There are rumors of treasures left behind by the elves when they disappeared but most claims of finding such treasure have been shown to be fakes
