Shukriya

History and Ascendance

The Faraj have always been a far-wandering people split into many ‘caravans’ made up of extended families and the wanderers they pick up. Anciently, these caravans would compete and fight with each other for resources, trade routes, and standing. For a time, before the Sundering, lived a caravan matron who brought all of the caravans of the Faraj together. Her name was Shukriya and she had lost a husband and sons to war with the other caravans. She preached a cooperation between the caravans of Faraj and spoke of them as one big family. She brought in rules of engagement, etiquette, and acceptance that are still generally followed to this day. These are the Shukriyan Laws. After her ascension to godhood, she continued to take interest in the family and in cooperation between families, tribes, and kingdoms. She is non-violent, except in the case of outsiders attacking a family she protects, at which point she is relentless and unforgiving.
