Morgantha Shadowdale

Morgantha is the goddess of shadow and witchcraft. She was worshipped widely throughout most of the world but only by spellcasters which only makes her an intermediate deity. Morgantha has two forms one seeks knowledge of magic and the natural world while the other seeks power over night and darkness. Morgantha is worshipped by spellcasters of all sort both good and evil which makes her a neutral goddess.     The Hag Mother One of the two aspects that Morgantha has the Hag Mother is worshipped by all hags except night hags. The Hag Mother is as evil as her hag spawn, it is said that when the Feywild was being created Morgantha fashioned a gift for the queen of air and darkness and that where five daughters, daughter how would eventually become the first hags. These hags where Baba Yaga for the Green Hags, Gertrude Irontooth for the Annis Hags, Auril the Frostmaiden for the Behur Hags, Black Agnes for the Night Hags and finally Olga the Betrayer for the Sea Hags.   Depiction. Most depictions of the Hag Mother show her as a kindly looking grandmother but she can transform into any type of hag at will.   Enemies. The dark aspects of the gods of Magic are generally hated and despised by all other gods and followers of that god and only other evil gods follow or tolerate them.'   Morganthe Shadowdale During the early years of the god's rule, only the Hag Mother excited and not Morgantha Shadowdale. But then a witch named Morgantha was born. Trained by Baba Yaga and granted power by Mystra the prime goddess of magic she ascended into godhood and managed to slay the Hag Mother in battle taking on her portfolio and her essence itself, therefore, becoming the goddess know to us today.   Depictions. Morgantha Looks like a young woman with black hair and a magical symbol on her cheek. She often wears a pointed hat where the hat motive that so many other witches adopt. Her other clothes vary. She also has a spellbook by her side.   Enemies. The Hag Mother is bitter enemies with Morgantha but so are the other gods of magic bitter enemies with their own darker self and also the other dark and evil gods.   Morgantha Shadowdale resides in the Feywild one of the last gods to remain after their fall. Now she is in the Autumm lands version of the Feywild more accurately the Bog of Blood

Morgantha is the god of shadows and darkness she also has the portfolio of witchcraft after she defeated the goddess Hekate some 300 years before the Fall of The Gods. Morgantha is an intermediate deity. She is in a group known as the gods of magic

Holy Books & Codes

The main book of Morgantha Shadowdale is The tome of ravens where the history, teachings and magic are written. She has several legendary artefacts dedicated to her though most have either been lost or destroyed the most famous of these artefacts is the Raven staff and Lubas Tarokka deck of souls.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Morgantha symbol is a white raven feather inside a circle of magic often on a black background, if not on a black background the raven's feather is black, not white.

Tenets of Faith

Morgantha is divided into two aspects the first is the god which the Keepers of the feather worship and that goddess seek knowledge of both the magical and the natural world, and the other is worshipped by hags and Blight liches how manipulate the natural world and poison it to serve their own ends

Candlemass is Morganthas most celebrated holiday this is a day when magic is strong and when the power of the Lay Lines is increased sevenfold.

Divine Goals & Aspirations

Morgantha whants to return to the Material Plane and hold the Far Realm back from the mortal world.
