Orc
Basic Information
Anatomy
Orcs are large bipedal humanoids long arms and typically a somewhat hunched forward back. Their have protruding tusk like bottom teeth and pointed ears.
Their skin is usually a color of dull green to grey. Orcs build muscle easier than most humanoid races, and as such tend to require a large amount of food every day to maintain their form.
Growth Rate & Stages
Orcs grow to maturity relatively quickly, and are generally considered adults by the age of 14. In many orc cultures, however, an orc is considered a child only until they have seen and survived battle.
The quick metabolism of Orcs also means that their life spans are cut somewhat short. The lucky few who die of old age tend to only live an average of 50 years.

History
Orcs are a proud race, and one that throughout history has striven for greatness and failed more times than most would dare. At their roots, they are nomadic, and organize themselves into smaller tribes. Orcs have banded together into larger nations a few times, but the larger nations invariably get torn apart by themselves, or by the ones they choose to go to war with.
Orcs respect strength above all other. Not just strength of body, but strength of will and, in more ancient history, strength of magic.
They have never been ones to take insults lightly, as that has generally been looked on as weakness, and it is this fact that best explains all of Orc falls throughout history.
Orcs about 600-1000 years mostly kept underground as working slaves for the Holy Dwarven Empire. They however got their revenge shortly after, as following the Waning, the Orc uprising was a large contributing factor in the demise of the Holy Empire. It is often said that every captive orc killed a dwarf for each of his ancestors that had to toil in the dark before them.
The old tribal structure of the orcs slowly returned over the next hundred years, and more ill advised wars were fought to reduce their numbers back down.
Recently, The orc tribes of Isera have been mostly unified in Faris, having made a deal of peace with the the empire that preceded it (on threat of extermination). They serve as Wardens of the Queens Peace in Wyford, and select areas of Acherine.
This relationship was tenuous for many years, but has been strengthened of late, as the Orc warbands were instrumental in the invasion of giants that took place in the early years of queen Tambers reign. There they fought side by side with Farissian Heavy Infantry, and after the war, many Orcs were given prominent position in the Faris military, healing much of the strained relations between Orcs and Faris.
Orcs can now be found in many of the larger cities, and half orcs, something that was unheard before, are seen commonly enough for them to be able generally get by.
