Larconis

Viceroy of Acherene

Previously the Lord of War in Faris, Larconis was granted control of Faris as Viceroy by Queen Tamber both as reward for his years of service, but also because she believed no other man could shoulder such a burden.
Regarded with hate and derision by all whom he was to govern, Larconis has had to fight ruthlessly for every ounce of respect needed to fulfill his duty to Faris and rule a people completely unwilling to be ruled by foreign powers.
He had an open invitation to debate for the first year of his reign, and on multiple occasion, this came down to single combat, as it often did in Acherene. Once he had dispatched three major lords in combat, he was finally able to establish enough respect to enforce peace and enact policies.
So far, Larconis has beat down three revolutions since the peace was established, and he fears the next one will be large enough to succeed. He has however forged some strong alliances over the years and Tamber still has full trust in his capabilities to contain the people so uneasy with the peace they live with.
