Iruxi

Proud and stoic, the Iruxi tend to live slow paced lives. They tend to live isolates in harsh landscapes such as swamps, jungles or even deserts, and rarely travel outside of their ancestral homelands. Because of this, little is known of the Iruxi in the "civilized world". There they are simply known as Lizardmen, and often regarded with derision, or even fear.
They are a cold blooded race, in that they think very pragmatically, and have little understanding of the hot blooded species social norms. They are not, however, stupid, and can alter their behavior in a way that enables cooperation, thus managing to have mostly avoided an all out war with any of the major powers surrounding their civilisations.

Anatomy

Lizardfolk physical descriptions can vary a great amount, but all have a snout filled with sharp teeth, and a long powerful tail. They tend to be earthy colors, but there are a few tribes with bright colored scales.

Growth Rate & Stages

Lizardfolk reach physical adulthood at age 15, but they keep growing throughout their life, and as such, the oldest individuals tend to be the strongest and most revered.

Civilization and Culture

History

The Lizardfolk have been around longer than any of the other races care to admit, and have not changed their way of life for most of that time. They tend to occupy areas that are harder for the other races to survive in, such as swamps and the deep jungle, which seems to have been originally meant to avoid conflict with other nations, but now, the Lizardfolk thrive in these environments, their culture perfectly suited for it. Their societies tend to be quite advanced by most standards, having irrigation systems and advanced agriculture systems and unique forms of animal husbandry not seen anywhere outside of their cities. The lizardfolk have seldom went to war with the outside world, but routinely start territorial wars with tribes of other lizardfolk.
