Passeri

Bird Folk of Song

Continuous songs flit through the air as those on wing fly from place to place. The blue sky is painted with melodies as the reds and deep blues of feathers pass by, their songs the only remnant of their passing through. On the breeze that carries their wings, these people find their voice, bursting forth in a song that echoes across the peaks and valleys that they soar over.   The Passeri are the more musically inclined of the Avians, choosing to live in places that enhance their natural songs. These areas are often home to large numbers of these songbirds, creating choirs and ensembles that would rival those of the Bards. They choose the heights and valleys for their echoes, taking to the skies to choreograph symphonies of chips and chitters.

Basic Information

Anatomy

All Avians share anatomical traits with Humans with some major differences. Avians have feathers and wings that allow them to fly as well as sharp beaks and talons that allow them to hunt or gather food.   The Passeri vary slightly from other Avians as they are more brightly colored and have stronger vocal cords that allow them to produce long and constant song. This ability makes the Passeri inclined to use Pink Magic.   Common Colorations
The Passeri vary widely in color, often having several shades and colors of feathers at once. These Avians are often more brightly colored and have more decorative plumage. Their colorations often match those of songbirds in the world, including Bluejays, Cardinals, Orioles, and other birds known for their songs.

Additional Information

Social Structure

The Passeri choose a life in the skies, much like many other Avians. Their culture is heavily focused on music and acoustics as the Passeri are the most musically inclined of all Avians.   Oftentimes one will see the Passeri scattered amongst groups of Trocha or Tridae near the mountain peaks where these people make their home. It is not uncommon to see mixed villages or groups as the Passeri are welcomed as one of the "fliers" while the Anseri and Struthio may not be welcomed.
