Trocha

Bird Folk of Speed

A soft hum floats on the breeze, its sound masking the beats of delicate wings as colorful feathers flit by. As eyes try to follow, it may be easy to think that the flash of color was nothing more than a Fairy, but even the Fairies with their magical wings cannot fly at such speeds, nothing more than a blur or after image in their wake.   The Trocha are the true speedsters of the Avians, but their endurance is far lacking compared to others of their race. Over short distances, few creatures in Isekai can keep up, but the Tridae surpass them in size and endurance. Even so, the Trocha choose a simple life, one of short flights, sweet nectar, and lazy days wherever their heart's desires can be fulfilled.

Basic Information

Anatomy

All Avians share anatomical traits with Humans with some major differences. Avians have feathers and wings that allow them to fly as well as sharp beaks and talons that allow them to hunt or gather food.   The Trocha vary slightly from other Avians as they are much smaller but have the ability to fly at great speeds for short distances. Their beaks are also long and thin, reminiscent of Hummingbirds.   Common Colorations
The Trocha vary widely in color, often having several shades and colors of feathers at once. These Avians are often brightly colored but lack the more decorative plumage of the Passeri. Their colorations often match those of Hummingbirds in the world.

Additional Information

Social Structure

The Trocha often choose to mingle with other races more frequently than other Avians, rarely joining in with their own kind. These people prefer to live a life of luxury, fulfilling their heart's desires and traveling wherever the wind takes them.   Due to their size and speed, Trochan culture puts little emphasis on things typically attributed to birds, such as hunting, tracking, and long flights. Instead, the Trocha prefer a somewhat lazy lifestyle where pleasure is paramount and little else matters.
