Irund

The world of Irund has been visited twice by the gods. The first in its defense against the elemental Titans that ruled the world with an enmity born of boredom. This concert of good and evil succeeded in laying low the Titans and together they established the races of Irund in their image. Departing the mortal sphere and returning to their own realms beyond the veil Irund knew peace. However as the eons passed both sides plotted and planned on how to rid Irund of the presence of the other.   The second coming would be a clash of wills between gods, champions and mortals. In the end the alliance of gods called the Celestial Concord that fought for order and stability of Irund proved victorious. Their foes, the gods of the Divine Sovereignty, were all either banished from the realm or shattered into fragments and locked away their essence guarded by divine wards.   With the war now called the Divine Conflict over the peoples of Irund have since moved on with their lives. While some still remain who remember the war the memory of mortals is short and already the deeds of the past quickly fade into legend and myth. Near two thousand years have passed and the world of Irund sees itself once again at the edge of change...
