Luimite

Luimite is an artificial stone created by the lymantria to imitate sunlight. Created hundreds of years ago, it has become essential to many kobold communities. While many had been watering their crops with magical light water, the luimite proved much more effective. When the lymantria make trades with a new kobold community, they always make sure to bring a piece of lumite along with whatever other tech they might need to barter with. When kobold communities split, many fights that break out are over which tribe gets to take their luimite. While the lymantria could easily give more than one piece to communities, they keep it as a limited resource so they can keep using it to trade with.
