Leofric Budde, Insect Farmer

Leofric had longed to become an Irra Knight, like many Irra children, but his family had denied him that luxury, and instead he became destined to inherit the family’s insect farm. The eldest of 12, he became independent at a young age, frequently having to care for his siblings in his parents’ absence. Their absence also gave him a chance to teach himself how to fight- to protect the farm, of course, and his family. The Irra elders spoke of a time when their people were enslaved by humans, long before the magic of their world started dying, and Leofric longed to learn more about their history but was thwarted at every attempt. His family, now spread out and living amongst the others, had moved on from the silly stories they heard from their elders, but Leofric, with his insect farm, was still entranced by them, and began to seek out the truth.
