Van Goats

This species of goat was first discovered by Xiloco of the Inheritor Alliance on a visit to the mountainous regions of the planet Saeunnh.
The creatures are omnivores but prefer plant material when possible, and take their name from the pigment absorbing nature of their wool. Their droppings are colorless as all pigment is stripped from their food sources and is stored within the body. The more of the plant material the creatures eat, the deeper and more vibrant the transferred color becomes. When the Van Goats are sheared this wool loses a bit of its coloration, but not entirely. It is due to this brilliant command of color that the goats get their titular classification as "Van Goats" , named after a painter from Earth known for their use of bright colors and bold shapes.
It is currently unknown if feeding the creatures clear food will result in a clear coat. Predators, life cycle, and herd dynamics remain unstudied pieces of information.
