Second Wave Laser Rifle

Found in a cache hidden deep within Acastan caves, this rifle is an example of Second Wave of human exploration engineering. 
A cut down carbine design, the weapon sacrifices range for ease of carry and runs on Type A energy cells still being manufactured today. The material science of the weapon, grips, and attachments is a level of refinement not possible in Post-Scream industry. Many who hold the rifle feel that it is machined just for them as sensors within the grips and control areas gently contour them to fit the wielder. 
Clean surfaces, unmarred paintwork, and self carbon cleansing components finish out the weapon, making it friendly to even novice soldiers.
