Sana is a barren world, that hosts no life of its own. Its surface is heavily cratered and pockmarked by almost constant asteroid strikes from its immense asteroid field.   In February 2669, Greystar Confederation explorer Joel Johnson arrived at Sana and discovered several interesting things about the planet.  His expedition set down on a dust plains where a large surface lake once stood. Something has happened here to cause the atmosphere to mostly vanish and in turn the water has dried up aside from some small concentrations just below the surface. Whatever this event was it also caused the comet showers that strike this region and the plains are now littered with star metal. You are able to discover some very basic single cell life amid the water here, in these final hours of survey before the O2 warnings in your suits signal its time to return to the ship.   It is believed the fields of star metal might hold great promise if refined, and a generation of xeno-microbiologists now have something to explore on Sana with the discovery of vestigial traces of both life, and water.   In May of 2670, Ehled Loward explored the western side of the mountain range that runs down the center of the planetoid. The expedition found a ready supply of rare and exceptional metals on the surface created by the erupting and rapidly cooling magma flows.
