Remnant Office of Naval Intelligence

The Remnant Office of Naval Intelligence was the special branch of the former Tenebrian Remnant, and were active in fights against the Fleshshapers, the United Nations of Worlds, and several other smaller polities that faded from history before the Remnant could be subdued. 
RONI, for short, was in charge of special operations such as the feared Chainveil boarding troops, and the Werewolf Battalions, where hardened commandos would stay behind enemy lines, or lurk on worlds the Remnant abandoned to harass , hurt, and inconvenience the occupiers. Their asymmetric attacks brought UNW expansion to a crawl for the duration of the conflict and their frustrations were so absolute that many surrendering RONI soldiers were killed out of hand. This is speculated to be additionally part of the overall Remnant strategy. 
The Remnant Office of Naval Intelligence is best known for its prime creation, a mysterious ship that was meant to fight the Fleshshapers. Its hull was a dark nulmataneum alloy, and psychics could not have any kind of control of the vessel in any way. It is not known what it was armed with, or if it is still lurking out in space somewhere. 
RONI operatives are thought to be in hiding all across the Iron Sectors, though with the fall of their parent organization, most have elected to enter civilian lives, or make their way on their own in more isolated parts of the world, content to let the era pass by.
