Helios One
Helios One is an elite squad of Armsmen issued to the expedition. Numbering only a handful, they represented the only means of keeping order on the ship. Several made planetfall along with the colonists and various expedition drop barges.
With the colony constructed, many have found themselves as the soldiery of the
Greenbriar people, and several have begun the practice of painting 'kill tallies' onto their shoulder pads, a move calculated to ensure the colonists that their soldiers can protect them.
After almost seven months of constant deployment, casualties, and the general attrition native to most fighting units, the surviving members were rolled in to Samuel's new Special Projects Group, so serve as an armed scalpel, whereas the army is now the sledgehammer.
Most now serve as drill instructors and senior Special Forces leaders, now that the United Nations of Worlds army numbers in the millions, and the unit designation as a whole has been disbanded.
