Cooperative for the Advancement of Science and Technology
The Cooperative for the Advancement of Science and Technology (CAST) was founded by Selgar Umaer in February 2668.
Upon joining the Sovereign Colonies Armed Forces and realizing they were better suited to support his vision of moving humanity into the next ideological era, Selgar went to work organizing this intergalactic education service.
CAST pursues a galaxy where all individuals have the chance to become educated and make a difference in the lives of others.
CAST seeks to improve civilization by acting in a few key areas.
Bringing light to the darkness by reconnecting and elevating people into galactic society
Raising the floor by promoting STEM education galaxy wide, especially for the youth
Bridging the gap by creating and promoting universal tolerance, particularly for non-humans and psions
After some controversy in exploring the secrets of a captured Shaper brain in April 2669, The Cooperative for the Advancement of Science and Technology negotiated a merged with the Lamplighter Foundation. CAST is no longer its own scientific board, and now functions as a special research group within the Lamplighter Foundation.
