After stabilizing the internal situation, the GGR decides to expand.

Denmark and Holland enjoyed their neutrality, despite being quite close to the fiercest battlegrounds of the war. However, it came to an abrupt end after Ludendorff seized control of Germany. It still took him a while to stabilize the internal situation in the part of Germany that he managed to take over during the coup.   Now, however, he announced the countries to be a threat to the new German state, claiming that there were ongoing plans to use these countries as the Entente's bridgehead behind the Western Front. It was unknown whether the documents presented were extraordinary forgeries or truth, as the Entente obviously denied the allegations vehemently.   This action cemented GGR control over the Baltic Sea - as a majority of the German navy ended up getting captured by the Ludendorff, and now they had firm control over the straits. What's more, this act of violation of neutrality led to Sweden being terrified into supplying GGR with much needed war materials.   New ports, seized ships and safe a bastion on the Baltic Sea improved position of the Republican Navy immensely. Its new command was also much more offensive-minded, and soon skirmishes began happening throughout the North Sea.
