Following a long series of disagreements with the White movement, a Mad Baron enters Mongolia.

Roman von Untern-Sternberg had a troublesome relationship with Russian Whites. While without a doubt he was increasingly insane and ruthless, he was also a tactical mastermind on the verge of Awakening. Together with a host of warriors (it was hard to call them soldiers) of Mongolian and Cossack descent he helped suppress pro-Soviet movements around the area of Lake Balkai together with his best friend, Georgij Semyonov.   The cruelty of that began putting him at odds with other Whites, especially after the situation in the east began stabilizing. It is unknown what exactly happened between Kornilov and Sternberg (some say: disagreement, others suggest that it was staged), but the latter one crossed the border between Russian Republic the and independent, theocratic Outer Mongolia, soon receiving the title of Khan in recognition. Upon this the Mongolian Khanate was established.
