Kingdom of Finland joins Central Powers

Following a brief civil war and a period of armistice, the Kingdom of Finland finally chooses a side.

The Kingdom of Finland attempted to gain at least some measures of autonomy ever since the Tsar was overthrown - after all, Finland was merely in a personal union with the Russian Empire. It wasn't until the May Revolution that the situation changed rapidly, and Finland decided to seize its own independence.   It required winning a brief civil war against local Reds, with general Mannerheim succesfully defeating them with German help. The Senate of Finland, controlled mostly by pro-German Whites, decided to remain neutral for a while, mostly due to the emergence of thaumaturgy. Despite this, the Kingdom of Finland was proclaimed and Mannerheim became its regent for the time being. The country's neutrality was recognized even by the Reds, that saw it as a danger, but one that they had to tolerate for the time being.   It wasn't until the success of the Rozwadowski's offensive that the Kingdom of Finland decided to join Central Powers, with hope of securing a more... mentally stable neighbor, all the while keeping close contacts with the Russian Republic (that, however, can do little to help the Kingdom).
