Surprisingly - for anyone involved - the pope calls leadership of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the Kingdom of Poland (two majority-Catholic countries participating in the war) for a meeting in Vienna.

Following the declaration of a crusade against GGR, the pope didn't stop. Not only did he announced that all neutral Catholic countries should allow volunteers to join the army of the Church in its war against GGR (that many, if not most of the countries involved saw as crazy, maybe even delusional), he also invited the leaders of the Kingdom of Poland and the Austro-Hungarian Empire to a conference... in Vienna.   Any attempt to deny him entry - as the Italian Federation and the Central Powers were more or less in the state of war, though fighting hadn't resumed after the collapse of Weimar Congress - didn't work. Pope simply invited the Austro-Hungarian army to shoot down his plane if they wanted to. So, in the end, both regent PiƂsudski and emperor Karl I decided to attend, if only to find out what was exactly happening.   It is not known officially what exactly happened during this meeting. It is believed, however, that the main topic was the war against GGR. A peace treaty, however, was signed between Poland, Austria-Hungary and the Italian Federation (that was soon joined by the rest of the Central Powers). What's more, the faith-based techmaturgies were soon manufactured in both countries.   Unofficially, the pope attempted to persuade both leaders that the GGR truly were a tool of the Devils. While they weren't exactly persuaded, they welcomed all help when it came to reestablishing the Kaiser's rule over Germany and resuming the Weimar Congress. The Kaiser supported this move in hopes to reclaim the lost German land, and finally establish peace.
