As The Russian Provisional Government's authority plummeted due to disasters on the front, the Revolution finally happens.

For many outside observers it was something that happened out of the blue, but most of those aware of the internal situation in the Russian Republic knew that it was a civil war many years in the making. The Provisional Government managed to weaken the Bolsheviks, but failed to destroy them, due to fear of mythical counterrevolutionaries... which proved to be ironic, as it was the Bolsheviks who turned out to be true counterrevolution.   As the forces on the front collapsed, massive riots occurred throughout major cities. Finally, the Bolshevik Red Guard stormed the government buildings in Petrograd. Kerensky was killed in the firefight, together with majority of the Provisional Government. Lavr Kornilov, the high commander of all Russian Republic forces, managed to escape. He fled southeast, reorganizing forces loyal to the Republic that he encountered.   Despite bolshevik's earlier opinion on the matter, the Soviet Russia didn't leave the war. While initially it looked like it would do so, the ultimately it didn't - and only the help of brainwashing radiowaves managed to suppress dissent caused by that move. This betrayal of the Central Powers - that paid Lenin to bring Russia from the war - infuriated many in the German Empire.   With the Soviet Russian forces forced to keep the frontline with the Central Powers, the so called Whites had time to reorganize themselves. However, almost all of the major industrial centers of the Republic fell into the Reds' hands. The Russian Civil War started finally, as forces of Lenin and Kornilov clashed in central Russia.
