As the defeat of the Entente looks ensured, internal dissent erupts in Italy.

Italy bled heavily during the repeated battles for Isonzo, with Austro-Hungary gaining the upperhand after the techmaturgic revolution. The situation was steadily worsening, especially after the Northern Italy Offensive, and Italy refused to use thaumaturgy for a stability improvement. It was seen as something wrong and impossible to combine with the republican system (unlike one in the French Republic, it seemed). The King vetoed it entirely.   This turned out to be a most terrible decision. Italy was essentially ejected from the war during the North-Italian Offensive... but what kept it together, was the hope that Entente would win, and the Italy would be reimbursed for its loses. Kingdom was even preparing an army in hope of liberating the northern parts of its territory.   After Entente seemed defeated, mass riots erupted throughout the cities of Italy. The king died when the socialist militias stormed the government buildings. Italy collapsed entirely, and Italian Civil War began, weakening the position of Entente during the Weimar Congress, as even the potential threat to the Austro-Hungarian border was always something. In the so called meantime, most of Austro-Hungarian forces were evacuated at the orders of Franz Ferdinand, to avoid having the soldiers 'infected' by socialism or other subversive ideas.
