Having met the ambassador from Intai at the Great Work, the Marked Ones made use of his teleportation circle to quickly travel to City of Order. The ambassador asked them to investigate one of the councilmembers, a person named Tak, whom the group knew to be the Navigator. In Intai the Marked Ones immedialty began searching for both the Eye of Azavox they knew was there as well as information on Tak. They were discovered and Tak asked for a parlay. He agreed to a duel, to test their strength. The Marked Ones won the duel, but at its conclusion the city was invaded by a demonic army and Tak died. Using the brainwashing machine, modified by Tak to cover the entire city, the group managed to banish the demons and save the city. In order to do so, San had allowed Tak to possess him, and in the aftermath of the battle, San allowed himself to be arrested by the remaining councilmembers. Eventually Tak was driven from San's mind, the Eye of Azavox was obtained by Sekka's familiar and the group left the city by ship.
