Season 2 Ending Sequence | Alternate

VISUAL SEQUENCE BEGINS

1. Fade in from black to a slow-motion shot of falling rain over Narasato. Each droplet glows faintly as it hits the pavement—like stardust burning out.
2. Close-up of Yumi’s classroom desk, now empty. A dried flower rests where her lesson planner used to be. Outside the window, the sky is overcast. A single ray of light breaks through.
3. Miyuki walks home alone beneath a pastel sky, umbrella tucked beneath her arm even though the rain has stopped. She stops at a crosswalk, looks up, and quietly mouths something—perhaps Yumi’s name.
4. Yosuke is shown training alone on the field, but he’s not smiling. The ball bounces once and rolls away. He sits on the bench, towel around his neck, head tilted back, watching clouds drift across the sky.
5. Nick stands at the riverbank, Chrono Storm colors faintly flickering beneath his jacket sleeves. Time slows—but only slightly. The water continues to flow. He stares at his own reflection and reaches toward it, but doesn’t touch.
6. Trent stands under a streetlight, holding his student file in one hand, torn and rain-stained. Ifrit floats quietly beside him. The two say nothing—just staring out into the evening. Slowly, Trent lifts the collar of his coat and keeps walking.
7. Yoshie walks alone through her family’s estate garden at night. Her heels click against stone paths as fireflies flicker silently in the dark. She pauses before a closed door, hesitates… then walks past it.
8. Freya stands in the middle of an empty hallway, sketchbook clutched to her chest. Around her, the hallway is covered in floating watercolor fragments—moments, memories, impossible to piece together. One shows Yumi’s silhouette. She presses her eyes shut.
9. Siege wanders Narasato at night in civilian clothes, unfamiliar with the modern world. She stops before an arcade machine, puzzled, then smiles to herself and moves on. The camera lingers on her profile as starlight reflects in her eyes.
10. A brief flash of Reika Amagiri, alone in the student council room, staring down at her desk. The room is spotless, every file aligned… except one folder that remains open, with a single photograph of Yumi half-covered by a page.
11. The final scene: All of the characters are shown walking home in silence, separate paths across town—each under the same stars. As the camera pulls up and away, they form a spiral of lights, slowly turning together like a celestial map.

A slow fade into the night sky, where one by one, distant Chroma Knight colors begin to appear, glowing faintly in the dark, like constellations.

And then… the last glow dims.

Yumi’s color flickers… then fades.

A beat.

And then, gently… a new light appears.
