A tradition of Dragon hunting had become very popular among adventurers, as artisans would often endorse a dragon hunt as long as the mercenaries returned the dragon corpse and any eggs for magic experimentation and creation of powerful magic items. The dragons were thought extinct at this point, as the last dragon had been seen nearly 30 years prior to this event.
