The Voss invasion of Sya'Nau during the Long Night.

During the Long Night, the planes tumbled into one another. The Shadow and the Prime were intertwined multiple times during the Long Night, which led to the ancient Shades of Voss invading the Elven homeland of Sya'Nau. Seemingly aware of the convergence of the planes, the Voss prepared their flying castles and armies within the Fell and were fully prepared to instantly invade the Elves upon the Planes convergence. Thousands died as the Voss waged a war of extermination against their ancient enemies, destroying the three remaining Elven Sky Islands and the Tree of Wisdom upon which all Elven scrolls and tomes were stored. The Voss swept through the Elven lands capturing and executing men women and children as they went, the Elven houses unable to rally in time to save their kingdom from ruin. During the Voss Incursion, the Dark Elves struck from the Deep Cavarns of the world, trapping the Elves of Sya'Nau between the Voss and the Dark Elves. what remained of the Elves fled via ship and magic across the oceans to Argantus to seek reffuge with the Dwarves. The Voss remained to exterminate the remaining Elven libraries and temples, commited to whiping the Elven stain from history in their eyes. The Voss came to an uneasy alliance with the Dark Elves, who held similar contempt for their surface kin. The Voss held air superiority and the Dark Elves would strike from below, catching their prey in a devestating flanking manuver. As the Planes ground to a standstill at the edge of the Abyss, the Voss found their reinforcments cut off, the Plane of Shadow too far for them to casually bring troops to reinforce the cleansing. Refusing to overextend their forces, the Voss waited using powerful magic to slowly open gates to bring in more troops to deliver the final blow. It was during this time that the Ascended returned from the Outer Planes and used their powerful magic to destroy many of the Voss that remained on the Prime Plane. Those that Remained fled North seeking refuge with their Dark Elf allies, and waited out the fury of the Ascended who were already leaving to begin re-aligning the Planes. Just before the Long Night ended, the Planes once again passed through the Plane of Shadow, allowing the Voss to launch a second wave into Sya'Nau fortifying their posistions and anchoring three of their Sky Castles to the Material Plane before the Ascendend finished their ritual. The Voss were fully prepared for another attack from the mighty Ascended, but none were prepared for the destruction of the Ley Lines that followed, devestating most of the multiverses Magic, leaving the Voss among many others near powerless.
