Vol-Ur Nhezar  would bind several demons within a host at once and record the results. while the nature of the Abyss and Demons is chaotic and maddening to define Vol-Ur Nhezar was able to record some patterns or resonable assumptions about the abyss and the demon hordes. when the Priest Kings of Old Narsai realized that Vol-Ur Nhezar had been experimenting on their citizens as well as demons the Wizard was ordered arrested and executed for his crimes, though he was never caught. retreating to a Villa outside of Zasa where he stayed with family friends. there he resumed his work, where he perfected the art of binding a demon within a host, effectively trapping the demon within and empowering the mortal. some time after retreating to Zasa, Vol-Ur Nhezar would open a gate to the Abyss to further his research. this was the last time the Mad Wizard was seen, as he vanished within his Gate soon after wards.
