Personal history

Tiamatrainth was Broodmother of the Whites during the final years of the Dragon Empire. Tiamat was the younger sister to Tamalth, an accidental freak of nature in her brothers eyes. while Tamalth had spawned a great many Red Dragons to serve as slave, Tiamat was born among that brood during an ice age that had claimed the surface and forced many of the reds into hibernation. Tiamat, firstborn of the Whites, held many of her brothers ambitions and cruelty though was tempered by a calm patience. Tiamat and her growing brood were heavily outmatched and had no hope of defeating the Dragonlord, and so they offered service to the empire. during the Reds hibernation Tiamat studied the cause of her mutation. in those studies Tiamat discovered many truths, about the volatile and unpredictable magic that was the core of every Dragon. Appealing to Tamalth's sense of ego, the Whites were spared and allowed to serve in his empire, where they began to foster the birth of other Dragon Broods under the guise of enriching the Empire and Tamalth's servants. in truth, Tiamat sought to sow seeds of discord by introducing multiple Dragon Broods to compete with the power of the Dragonlord and the Reds. as each of the new Broods began to take shape, and the war between: Dragon, Giant, and Dwarf, starting, Tiamat herself withdrew to the frozen north. There the Dragonqueen experimented upon a number of eggs creating monstrosities such as the Wyvern, Chimera, and the Hydra. while these beasts served in Tamalth's war machine they also allowed Tiamat an excuse to push beyond the bounds of her brother's watchful eyes. The Hydra was in truth a fail experiment as Tiamat sought the power from each of the Dragon Broods she'd played a hand in bringing to life. straying to different environments on Irindoth and exposing a clutch of eggs to produce new Broods was simple enough, merging them together to form a single more powerful dragon was far more complex. Tiamat worked in solitude with her Brood, with the only exception being Omynvaarnth, who had somehow learned of her experiments. While Tiamat initially desired to have the Black Dragon slain and use the corpse for experiments, Omyn persuaded the Dragonqueen otherwise. offering his own talents to bring subjects for her perfect Brood, Omyn proved an invaluable ally. Tiamat and her Brood had a minimalist role in the war before Tamalth's downfall. in truth Tiamat was wholly unaware of her brothers downfall until Omyn came to warn of her the events in person. Omyn suggested that she and her Brood go into hiding as he intended to do, but Tiamat saw the opportunity to seize power after so many years. by taking her brothers place Tiamat could increase the rate of her studies and finally produce the ultimate Dragon she sought. As the combined forces of the Giants, Elves, and Dwarves pushed deeper into the unraveling Empire, Tiamat and her Brood attempted a coup in within the confines of Tamalth's abandoned lair. while Tiamat did seize power, her triumph was short lived as she was overwhelmed by the armies at her doorstep, her Brood scattered following her death. The monstrosities broke free during the aftermath, or were set loose by the cunning Whites to cover their escape. the lair of Tiamat, with all of her studies and notes towards her ultimate goal, were mysteriously missing when the enemy forces breached her sanctum.
