The Gift of Grulgor has many names, though its one of the most virulent plagues in existence.

Transmission & Vectors

The Gift of Grulgor takes on many different forms, manifesting differently as Grulgor himself takes on different forms to spread the gift. When he's infested a swarm of insects, they spread the gift via their stings or bites. when Grulgor is a cloud of noxious fumes, simply inhaling the vapors causes the Gift to spread.

Causes

Once the Gift has been contracted, it quickly takes hold of the Host, cuasing them to suffer briefly for a time before going mad, after a tenday they are often slaves to Grulgors will, extensions of the Demon Lord himself.

Symptoms

The Gift of Grulgor begins with a benign cough, a fever, and insomnia in the first night. in the following tenday, the victem rapidly deteriorates, becoming bloated and growing a number of rotting sores. the brain swells and then begins to rot as the host goes mad, becoming a servant of Grulgor. even at his stage the Gift doesn't end, causing the host to rot away until they deteriorate into a puddle of gore and rot.

Treatment

Only the most powerful of Holy Magics can cure The Gift of Grulgor, and it must be applied quickly before the Host is destroyed.

Prognosis

The Gift is always lethal, though the rate at which it spreads depends on the needs of Grulgor at the time, some hosts serving for decades before finally rotting away, others for hours or even minutes.

Sequela

After the Gift of Grulgor ravages the body to completion a puddle of filth is left in its wake that spreads the Gift further, tainting the very ground around it. spreading a number of other conditions, all of which will eventually become The Gift of Grulgor if they're not treated properly in time.

Epidemiology

Grulgor begins his infestation as a single organism before rapidly growing his swarm to overwhelm an area. Grulgor will infest a host to adapt to any enviornment, allowing his Gift to grow and Spread to all corners of creation.

History

For as long as Grulgor has existed, so to has the Gift. the effects of Grulgors Gift can be felt even today, causing a number of different viruses and poxes that would not have come into being if Grulgor had not intervened.
