General Physical Condition

Samael was a powerful Archangel born from Anir, as such his flesh was flawless ruby with streams of gold more light than of solid form, and three pairs of mercurial wings

Specialized Equipment

When Samael was named Herald of Ashes following Asmodues' fall, he was gifted a fragment of Elemental Chaos to use as a weapon and tool for his new position, the essence of all creation this fragment could be formed into powerful weapons or spells, or any tool that the Archangel required.

Personal history

Samael was a close friend of Asmodeus before his fall from grace, and was a brother in arms during the Dawn Wars. when Asmodeus was sent into the far reaches of Elemental Chaos, Samael was charged with defending that which had been forged already, overseeing the evolution of the Prime Material. following the Betrayal of Asmodeus and the birth of the Abyss proper from Tharyzdon's madness Samael replaced Asmodeus as the fist of heaven.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Fought side by side with Asmodeus during the earliest moments of pre-history when all of creation was still forming from Elemental Chaos. Samael and Asmodeus would keep tally of how many times they save one another, or who felled the most or greatest foe. a particularly proud moment was when Samael slew the last of the Bhelip's during their forging of the high heavens.

Failures & Embarrassments

Samael feels personally responsible for Asmodeus' fall, that his absence from his friends side during those untold eons aided in the fall of a great celestial. the Herald of Ashes also considers the corruption of the Material plane a personal affront to all the work the celestials did during the Dawn Wars.

Mental Trauma

Samael fostered a slow growing contempt for mortality following Asmodeus' fall, as the Archangel was sent to deliver fire and vengeance upon many a deserving foe during the early years of the Prime Materials existence. during the long night, when the Angel was trapped outside of the Heavens following the Planes becoming disjointed and un-aligned he went insane, blaming Mortals of the Prime Material for the destruction of Heaven. in a fit of madness, the Archangel harvested thousands of souls and twisted those remaining into unstable vessels of power to assault Highgate in an attempt to destroy those he felt responsible for the death of so many Gods.

Intellectual Characteristics

Samael was considered a Warrior Poet during the Dawn Wars, more concerned with cultivating and growing life than war with the denizens of Elemental Chaos. his creative and gentle nature would contrast to Asmodeus' own, allowing the two to formulate brilliant battle stratagems.when the elemental planes formed the Prime Material, it was Samael who was sent to seed the first moments of life unto a primordial rock fresh from the formation of a young universe. it would be eons before those seeds grew into the first life forms, able to be molded by the gods.

Morality & Philosophy

Samael was a cultivator of life, who enjoyed spending his time writing poetry and sonnets, or growing this and that in the celestial planes and eventually the Prime Material. following his 'promotion' the Archangel was forced to go against his nature, becoming more and more wrathful and full of hate.

Samael was a creature born from the divine designed to follow orders. when his connection to the gods was severed the Archangel went mad.

Likes & Dislikes

Despite being a warrior, Samael actually didn't enjoy violence or war. he saw it as a means to an end, and hoped that the Dawn War would be the only time he or many others, would have to take up arms. Samael enjoyed making things much more than destroying them, being the one to deliver the first seeds of life unto the Material Plane during Pre-History.

Samael was a patient and calm figure before his duties as Herald of Ashes drove him to go against his nature against those he'd helped foster to life.

Vices & Personality flaws

Following eons of going against his gentle nature, Samael eventually became an angry violent creature of barely contained wrath. when the gods of the celestial planes began to die, and the Planes became inaccessible during the Long Night Samael became unraveled.
