Mental characteristics

Personal history

Minaris and the other Fey are enigmatic creatures from the time of Umeran, and the Forest Lords were his servants. The Fey are in a sense the Angels of Umeran and the wild places, or the Demons of the Abyss. They are Celestial Outsiders, who exist on the Inner Plane of the Wilds. Archfey like Minaris rest on the scales of power similarly to the Dukes of Hell, or Demon Lords. Minaris is perhaps one of the oldest of the living Fey, and has often represented subtle yet chaotic change in the Material and the Wilds. Minaris retreats into the midnight lands, taking only a sporadic interest in the squabbles of the other Fey and in any events on the Material. The Moth King's whims rarely predictable, and even more difficult to understand what if any influence the Fey truly has. Druids and Warlocks who serve Minaris often view the Moth King as a symbol of change, whether it be subtle influencing the land or devastating a hamlet to clear way for the forests return. One thing all the followers of Minaris partake in however, is creating strange effigies of the Moth King often from sticks spider webs and things of a similar nature. The sign of the Moth King has become an omen of dire natural disasters to come.

Intellectual Characteristics

Minaris is often considered lazy by his fellow Fey, when the Moth King does make an appearance in the courts of other Archfey he's been seen snacking hardly paying any attention at all.

Morality & Philosophy

Because of Minaris' nature as a Fey he's often prone to acts of chaos, kidnapping Mortals to the Wilds for no reason than to seemingly alleviate boredom where they participate in a number of games and riddles to escape to their home.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Minaris seems mostly motivated by snacks and boredom, though there is a strange connection between the Moth King and natural disasters that suggest he or his followers are responsible in some fashion.

Savvies & Ineptitudes

Minaris is incredibly lazy and uninvolved in anything that doesn't entertain the Fey, he's had a number of hobies over the centuries though Dancing and snacks seem to be his favorites. there was a time the Moth King tried to speak only in rhyme and riddles but it turns out he's not good at either.

Likes & Dislikes

Minaris' is a fiend for honeysuckle, and anything sweet. The Moth King has been persuaded to grant favors to his followers in return for impressive cloaks and snacks, but he's quite picky about things and is easily insulted if offered something he "wouldn't be caught dead wearing" and often turns those who insult him in such a way into a moth.

Social

Social Aptitude

Despite being very lazy, Minaris loves parties that express wild and unexpected themes and colors. Oftentimes Minaris will invite all the other Archfey to some remote location to have dinner parties where the Moth King and his new favored servants will preform elaborate dances and plays. The Moth King can be lively and joyful as a sprite or as distant as a frost nymph depending on his mood.
