Kobolds live a life of war and migration, moving from hunting ground to hunting ground as they look for a new master. They raid and steal materials that they often simply hoard, only objects of war catch their interest. things such as gold, and jewels are kept only as tribute for Dragons.when they find a Dragon they immediately pledge their service to the Dragon without question, offering what trinkets they have.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

Kobolds slay each other as often as they do other races, as such they tend to wear armor made from the hide of their enemies, using their bones for added defense and as potent weapons. if a Kobold's hide and bones are not used it is considered an insult to that Kobold, that they were too weak to even be used as material.

Common Taboos

Kobolds will rarely speak with outsiders, they consider most mortals to be enemies of their Dragon masters unless they are told otherwise by a Dragon.

History

Kobolds are a race that was created by the Dragons as weapons of war against the Giants. Originally Dragons had a magically enhnanced brood of pigs that could grow to the size of horses to satisfy their hunger, and so they worked from that breed of pig to craft aggressive and intelligent creatures that lived a short time to ravage the Giants. Kobolds worship their Draconic creators as gods, offering up treasures they capture to any Dragon that will have them. When the Draconic Empire fell, Kobolds were scattered to the corners of Irindoth and the Deep Caverns where they festered and grew. without the Dragons to guide them, Kobolds fell into smaller family groups that made war with each other as often as they did other races. on rare occasion, a Kobold will rally the Broods together to form a Warband and ravage nearby areas, sometimes even binding Orcs and Trolls into their service. most of the time however Kobolds are an infestation similar to Trolls, where they are hunted and purged. Kobold Slaves fetch a high price in specific markets such as mercenary groups or gladiator rings where their bloodlust can be used to great effect.

Historical Figures

Hiseth Blackbramble led a massive Warband to the surface of Krogar years before Long Night, and established a Burrow at the heart of the continent that lasted for nearly eighty years before infighting and an army of Dwarves and Humans pushed the Kobolds back underground.

Common Myths and Legends

Kobolds tell of powerful War Leader who was granted extended life by their Draconic master for slaying a powerful Giant Chieftain, this is one of the many reasons Kobolds are so eager and willing to serve a Dragon.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
