Mechanics & Inner Workings

Some Druchaia spears have a hidden mechanism which extends the haft of the weapon to catch opponents off guard during a sudden attack which might have otherwised fell short of a killing blow.

Manufacturing process

More Complex Druchaia spears consist of a Lightweight haft, and heavier Blade Bits to maximize damage botential but minimize the weight the Weilder has to carry.Crafting Mithral or Iornwood hafts with much heavier Steel or even heavier Admantium blades puts a great deal of strain upon the wepaon and must be carefully constructed to prevent hte weapon from breaking or becoming unbalanced, as the weapon is expected to be able to strike from both ends in rapid succession.

Significance

Druchaia spears facilitate a unique fighting stile where an adapt Druchaia spearfighter will spin the weapon from end to end to switch between the Curved blade on one end, and the deadly armor piercing point on the other, Druchaia spears are often used in conjunction with a Shield in the offhand to protect the wielder as they transistion between the two, and to block vision of which end the Dark Elf might be attempting to use at the time. the Curved blade has a guthook along the outer curve of the blade to catch an opponents blade, or shield and pull them off balance, where asthe Spear point is reinforced Steel or Adamantium to assist in the armor rending ability ofthe weapon. a master Druchaia wielder is a deadly foe indeed.
