Gender Ideals

Dragonkin respect their matriarchs as clutchmothers, since a single female can lay enough eggs to repuplate the species on her own. while males are respected, they do not have the same veneration as the matriarch, while the matriarch and patriarch of a clan share responsabilities a Clutchmother tends to dictate the goals of a Clan.

History

Dragonkin came about near the end of the Dragon Empire, as they were used as clutch guards and warriors to grow faster than normal dragons and bolster dragon forces during their war with the giants. though they ultimately failed in their goal, Dragonkin survived, and were hunted alongside their Dragon Ancestors for thousands of years before the long night. following the resurgence from Long Night, as every species recovered from near extinction Dragonkin have found a place in the world where they are not hunted for their scales or ability to tap into magic from their draconic blood.
