Personal history

As unpredictable as he is brutal, the dethroned Pirate King known known as The Wrath is feared far and wide. Where he goes, death and ruin follow, and such is his infamy and reputation that the merest sight of his black sails on the horizon causes panic among even the hardiest crew.   Having grown rich preying upon the trade routes of the Stormseas, Caine has made himself many powerful enemies. In Ravan, he incurred the wrath of the Voss after ransacking the Temple of the Black Sun, and it is said that the Grand General of Loross himself has sworn to see Byron Caine torn asunder after the pirate stole the Leviathan, their most impressive Warship.   While Caine has incurred the wrath of many, none have yet been able to bring him to justice, despite assassins, bounty hunters, and entire armadas being sent after him. He took grim pleasure in the ever-increasing rewards posted for his head, and makes sure to nail them to the Bounty Board in Highgate for all to see whenever he returned to port, his ships heavy with loot.   Recently Caine was betrayed by his Under-Captains with the aid of Jesil of the Red Sails. narrowly escaping death Caine fled Highgate Aboard the Leviathan leaving his fleet in the hands of Dante 'The Siren' Hayward and Jesil. The Wrath was last seen sailing into the Stormsea fleeing the Ravens, and the Daitor navy and is presumed dead.

Education

Caine was a Street Urchin in the Gallows of Highgate, posting from ship to ship he ended up living more on the Stormseas rather than on dry land.

Employment

Caine served nearly every role aboard a ship in his years at sea, and rose to become a Reaver even for a short time before rising up and claiming his own Fleet.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Caine sacked the Temple of Black Sun, stole the Flagship of the Daitor Navy as his own personal vessal, and was slowly gaining a foothold into the Merchant Lords of Highgate. Byron Caine underestimated Jesil of the Red Sails, and was betrayed by his own Under-Captains causing the Pirate to loose his vast armada of Pirate Ships, and network of allies.

Failures & Embarrassments

Caine attempted to steal a Skyship from the Wurdgrym and was imprisioned for nine years before escaping in a swath of blood and violence.

The Wrath seemed to enjoy cruelty, punishing those under his watch who he felt lacked loyalty viciously to inspire them.

Intellectual Characteristics

Despite his affection for violence, Caine was a proven warrior and tactician, and remained undefeated at Naval Combat even when death was all but certain.

Caine was fond of Scrimshaw, though he found a way to turn even this into a method of intimidating his crew, as he would carve runes and art into the bones of those who had drawn the unwanted attention of The Wrath.
