Demographics

Aros is primarily a Dark Elf settlement, with a minor human and dwarf population

Government

The great elven houses hold council with the Death Speakers to dictate new laws and regulations.

Defences

With the walls and floating capabilities of Aros destroyed. Much of the cities defenses lay in its naval support and wyvern riders.

Industry & Trade

Aros serves as the Voss major market, though it lacks the means to store substantial quantities of slaves or goods.

Infrastructure

Aros is the primary sea port for the Voss,  as well as a marketplace for the sparse travelers that make their way north.

Districts

Traditional Voss architecture houses slaves and low citizens im a settlement bemeath the floating city.  Since the fall of the city centuries ago much of the settlment has been rebuild around Aros blurring lines between social classes.

Assets

Aros has a large assortment of ships and lumberyards to support the Voss navy.

House Ry'sj is the dominant faction among the house of Hydras in the southern provinces.

History

During long night Aros and the other dread cities were pulled into reality above the ancient elven homelands. A deal struck between the Dark elves and the Shades of Yheia allowed a deveststing blow to be atruck against the elves. Many grout houses and sacred groves were burned uner the command of Aros and the Voss. When the ascendants besieged Aros to halt the genocide it crashed far to the north  along the cold borders of Ravan. After Long Night pirates would make itvtheir homecfor a short time before the Voss cleared out their ruined city. Despite being a ruin Aros proved an important staging ground for the future colonization of elf lands to the south. With the Ascendants gone the Voss resumed their aggressions against the elves, and have assaulted Ashho Belanore and Mythnara multiple times in the centuries since, all staged drom Aros.

Architecture

Aros has many traditional features of Voss design. Effigies of death, paindd slaves and black stars, most destroyed or damaged during the fall. Since its re-occupation Mal Dorei spiders and angular designes have become more prominent espdcially in the newer settlements surdounding the city.

Geography

Aros borders the cold waters along Reavers cost and Ravan. To the south was ince a great forwst that has since been culled to provide farmland and timber foe Voss ships.
