Noctuali

Noctuali are a stern and wise Fey race, conquering the skies in the early days of Traefell. They strongly resemble many types of owls, with feathered arms that end in scaly forearms and hands that have short talons on them. Often times, they are mistaken for Aarakocra, but this does not bother them as they are great allies to their avian kin. Noctuali's eyes are powerful and aid them throughout their lives as useful tools. They are also avid readers and have an affinity for learning different languages.

Ability Score Increase Your Wisdom increases by 1. Then, choose a different ability score to increase by 2 or choose any two ability scores to increase by 1.

Starting Hit Points. When you choose this Ancestry, your hit point maximum increases by 6.
Age. Noctuali mature at the same rate as Humans and live just as long.
Size. Noctuali are typically between 4 and a half feet and 6 feet in height and can weigh between 70 and 160 pounds on average.
Creature Type. You are a Fey creature.
Supreme Darkvision. Your large eyes are so attuned to the darkness that your vision is unparalleled. You can see in dim light within 120ft of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can discern color in darkness.
Owl Wings. You have been granted wings that sprout from your back, giving you a flying speed equal to your walking speed. You do not gain this benefit while wearing heavy armor.
Book Worm. You gain proficiency in History or Arcana. Because you are a skilled reader, if a book or tome has a set amount of time you need to read it in order to gain its benefits, you can halve this time.
Silent Flight. While flying, if you enter then exit an enemies melee range you will not provoke an attack of opportunity. To gain this effect, you cannot stop and take any actions between entering and leaving the area.
Radar Senses. You gain proficiency in Perception and you cannot be surprised while conscious.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Sylvan.
