Mycelix

The Mycelix are fungal based humanoids that enjoy heavily shaded areas or the darkness of caves. They are normally reclusive of the hustle and bustle of society and live in their own small clans but you can rarely see them adventuring through the land. Mycelix are humble, quiet people and enjoy the company of others. Together with the Dryads, they crafted the first druidic magics in the world. There are two subraces of Mycelix, the Forest Mycelix and the Cave Mycelix.
 
 

Mycelix

Age. Mycelix are grown in incubation pods and will stay there, immobile, for up to 5 years before they wake up and detach from the ground. They are not considered adults until they are around 70 years old and can live up to 1000 years.   Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.   Fungal Resiliency. You do not need to sleep, eat, or breathe and magic cannot put you to sleep. You can draw nutrients and energy from the soil. If you find yourself in an area with no soil or in harsh sands, you can drink water to gain this benefit. To gain the benefits of a long rest, you need to be immobile for at least 4 hours. You are conscious during this time and can still see and hear.   Tough Skin. Your tough, thick outer skin provides exceptional protection against outside forces, thanks to this, you have a base AC of 16 (DEX modifier doesn't affect this number). If you have a shield equipped, you gain those bonuses as normal. The way that your body is shaped and the different growths that occur on your torso make it impossible to wear armor.   Gift of the Forest Spirit. You gain proficiency in Arcana or Nature.
 

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common, Fungii, and Druidic

Forest Mycelix

Ability Score Increase +1 Wisdom
Size Medium
Speed 30ft

Starting Hit Points. When you choose this Ancestry, your hit point maximum increases by 7.   Size. Forest Mycelix are taller and more slender than their cave dwelling counterparts. You can stand between 6 and 7 feet tall and weigh between 180 and 280 pounds on average.   Dim-light Vision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light.   Druidic Ancestry. You know the cantrips Mold Earth and Shape Water, these do not count against your total number of cantrips known.   Natural Healer. You have advantage when making Nature checks and Medicine checks. You can also make a healing salve using parts of your body that will heal a creature for 1d6 + your Constitution modifier, this salve remains potent for 10 minutes. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your constitution modifier and you regain all uses after a long rest.
 

Cave Mycelix

Ability Score Increase +1 Strength
Size Medium
Speed 30ft

Starting Hit Points. When you choose this Ancestry, your hit point maximum increases by 8.   Size. Cave Mycelix are short and bulky. You can stand between 4 feet to a little over 5 feet and weigh between 170 and 270 pounds on average.   Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Regeneration. If you are on half health or below, you can use a bonus action to heal some of your wounds equal to your level + your Constitution modifier. This can be used once before a short or long rest.   Bulky Build. Because of your bulk, your hit point maximum increases by 1 at 1st level and again whenever you gain a level after the 1st.
