Lawbringer
150% empowerment
Law and Order, a concept that all individuals within a society are aware and cautious of, as the slightest ignorance of law could lead to one's untimely death. To some, it is just that, rules to be cautious of, but to others the Law is a golden set of commandments which dictate their whole lives. In rare cases, these individuals may be blessed by the Spirit of Law, and given the ability to punish those who break the law and bring order to chaotic lands. However, while the Lawbringers may travel the world, they are required to respect the laws of the lands they find themselves in, even if it contrasts greatly to the laws they are used to. Going against this, may draw the Ire of the Law spirit, and case them to eventually lose their blessing.
The Three Unbreakable Laws
Below are three laws that surpass any law created by mortal beings, if an individual breaks one of these three laws, the Lawbringer is given the permission to break any law in order to punish the individual in question. Should the Lawbringer themselves break one of these laws, they will forever lose their powers.
1. Aiding an Iraeidin, or the creation of one, in any notable way, is punished with immediate execution.
2. Causing Immense and Unnecessary damage to nature or the world, is punished with immediate execution.
3. Changing laws purely to suit oneself, is punished with immediate execution.
Chastise ⦿
Martial techniques primarily revolving around readied actions following an opponents actions, this allows for attacks which are highly likely to hit and injure an opponent. Alternatively, the player can also design Chastise techniques similar to that of reactions, but can only be utilized after their character takes a injury themselves.
Objection ⊕
As a readied action (requires 2 actions), the character can slowly fill themselves with the power of the law spirit, preparing to strike down any magic that comes their way. The Lawbringer can strike down magic equal to 150% of his Physical Power, if the magic is stronger than this, it will bypass the Objection (albeit in a weakened state). After using Objection, the Lawbringer can not use it for another 3 turns.
Judgement ⊕
A magically empowered attack that can only be used on a wounded creature (at least one fatigue), this strike has the intent to execute the opponent. However, Judgement can only be used one an individual or monster that has broken a law which is punishable by death/execution.
Should the Judgement kill the opponent the Lawbringer will gain a buff to their physical stats for the next 24 hours. The exact amount of stats gained are dependent on the strength of the opponent (however at minimum it is a +2 to all physical stats). This bonus does not stack with itself.
- Judgement can only be used once per opponent.
- How much damage is gained through judgement is based on the physical power of the Lawbringer.
