Horses

Horses, similar to the real world are used for shortening to the amount of time and energy spent whilst traveling. Horses are most often found within cities/town and are sold for a price equivalent to their skill and speed.

For those not using a horse for travel and traveling on foot the effective Dexterity for travel is decreased by 25% rounded down whilst traveling unless Vitality is equal or higher than Dexterity.

Horses do not suffer from this disadvantage as animals which excel at covering large distances, various types of horses, effective traveling dex, and other things of note will be found below.

Average horse

Dexterity 10

Average cost - 1500 dreons

Can be found in most places of the world in either farms, merchant guilds, cities/towns, or just forests. Spooked easily which can cause it to run off potentially completely abandoning the owner.

Trained horse

Dexterity 15

Average cost - 4500 dreons

Often only sold within cities or towns, it will cost a much prettier penny than a regular horse due to the effort and time needed to train. The training of the horse makes it so that it is not spooked by normal events, however, abnormal and uncommon events such as Iraeidin, explosion, or large flashy magic, can cause it to run off. Despite this, the horse is likely to remain in the nearby area for its owner due to its training.

Stisedan Sumpter

Dexterity 15

Average cost 8000

A horse bred to have a high endurance and able to carry more weight than most, only sold by some of the most notable merchant guilds and their associated breeders. These horses are valued for their capability to speed up caravan and carriage travel by several times due to the breed’s ability to handle the weight with ease, this in turn, also allows the horse to carry much more than it normally would should it be used for normal purposes. Due to being trained to work with merchants the only thing this horse fears is the poor.

Knight’s Warhorse

Dexterity 25

Average cost 14,000

An extremely tough and quick breed of horse elevated by extensive and professional training within the fortress cities of Zaveron. These horses are often sold equipped with plating to cover them from any minor attacks whilst traveling or when arriving at a destination, this is partially the reason for the large cost. Additionally, these horses have a willpower equivalent to knight’s themselves and will not flee unless specifically commanded to do so, and can be called back with a simple whistle, of which the horse will quickly learn to differentiate the whistle of their owner compared to a random person. Throughout their extensive training, they are taught a large variety of commands such as the aforementioned flee, alongside commanding it to follow, instructing directions while one’s hands are off the reins, and even telling it to charge into the enemy. In part due to the cost and part due to the abilities of the horse, it is said most knights will only ever purchase a horse once, as after bonding with the horse they are unable to purchase another should the previous suffer an unfortunate fate.

Dulik

Dexterity 45

Average cost ???

A two headed and 6 legged horse with a crimson hue covering its whole body. These magical beasts are rarely found in certain mountains between Kelazhur and Zaveron. Despite its appearance it is still classified as a horse as rarely some travelers, hunters, and mercenaries are able to tame the beast. Should one be able to do this they will obtain an unnaturally sturdy and fast horse, which is able to easily travel through any environment including the mountains it is found upon. For those seeking to find and tame this beast, it should be noted that they can be incredibly aggressive, with one head spitting acid strong enough to dissolve tungsten, and the other head is armored with carapace allowing the Dulik to charge through entire buildings using its head as a ram.

Leunickner

Dexterity 70

Average cost 200,000

A horse which has been heavily enhanced and altered through massive amounts of Irae energy based experiments. Only sold from the Stisedan organization known as Chimera which can be found in Taekir. Due to the experiments, the horse is barely sentient, does not need to eat, and lives a maximum of a year, but will follow any orders perfectly, akin to a puppet.
