The Emerald Conclave

Overview

The Emerald Conclave is a federation of lords, cities, and rebellious factions from eastern Raj’tar who oppose the current monarchy. United by a desire to end centralized royal rule, they aim to replace the crown with a council-based government, drawing leadership from representatives across the kingdom. What began as political dissent has erupted into full-scale civil war, threatening to tear Raj’tar apart from within. Though the Conclave claims to seek peace and reform, many suspect their true aim is seizing control of the entire kingdom.

History

Doubt surrounded Queen Evelyra's ascension from the beginning. Her youth, her heritage, and her bold decisions quickly alienated many powerful figures in the east. Over time, these doubts festered into resistance. In 7035, a coalition of high-ranking nobles and city leaders declared their independence from the crown, claiming they would no longer recognize the Queen's authority.
Rather than negotiate, the rebels made a bold and symbolic move—they stole the Queen’s Emerald, the most treasured heirloom of Raj’tar's monarchy. This act not only severed ties but gave the rebellion a name: The Emerald Conclave.

The Queen responded swiftly, ordering a strike against the Conclave’s "capital". But her forces were ambushed en route by Conclave troops, igniting the civil war that now consumes the eastern front. As the kingdom’s armies are divided between fighting the Conclave in the east and orcs in the west, the rebels have grown bolder. Outnumbered, the Conclave turned to forbidden necromantic practices, raising an undead army under the command of the ruthless General Kaleesh. While their leaders insist they fight for a just cause, many fear they have traded honor for power—and that their rebellion may end not in freedom, but in tyranny.
