Righteous Zealots
The Righteous Zealots are the inquisitorial force of the faith. They scour the land, weeding out the impure from within the Church, as well as detecting and purging Old God influence.
They have a high degree of authority, and few of the faith question their judgement, especially in human-dominated regions.
They are the Church's first line of defence against heretical forces, on a constant crusade to find the few remaining Old Gods.
Responsibilities
Righteous Zealots are responsible for ensuring the internal aspects of the faith are in keeping with the Tenet of Purity. This encompasses evaluating those within the faith- Archons, Priests, Paladins, Templars, and ensuring they have not veered from the path of righteousness, or succumb to Old God influence.
On top of constantly evaluating the internal actors of the faith, they also attempt to prevent and prune Old God influence- tracking down and defeating cults or Yuan-ti for example.
